Where did the time go? It’s May already? Yesterday was New Year’s!
And yet the time keeps ticking away, til it’s New Year’s all over again.
I’m not really a big fan of change. I like things to stay the same. I don’t like it when unexpected things happen, or when people leave. But as Wooton says, “Change can help you change, and sometimes that can be a good thing.”
Key word: Sometimes.
Today I undertook what may be the biggest change I have undergone this year so far: Cleaning my room. I haven’t bothered to in years. That was a mistake. My desk is a picture of.. of….well, you’ll just have to see.
This is perfectly normal for a constantly used desk, am I right?
As of today, I have 3 bags of old clothes, 2 of trash and toys, and one box of books I haven’t read since kinder garden. Anyone up for a nice big book of Mother’s Goose’s Nursery Rhymes?
So much for spring cleaning.
So far, the good news is that I have more space to store my books.
See? 🙂 Or I might tape some pieces of inspiration up here. The possibilities are endless!
The amount of work I have to put into cleaning is also endless, unfortunately.
All the hassle of re-organizing aside, spring has really put a spring in my step. The weather is almost too warm, the sun is shining, and there’s not a cloud in the sky.
If it were up to me, I’d take a good long run outside, breathing the fresh air, stopping to take pictures of the flowers. It’s not up to me, sadly. Spring cleaning calls, it beckons, saying, “stop smelling the flowers and get to work!”
Alright. Rant over. Time to get back to spring cleaning. Here to keep you mystified is a trio of mirror pictures. Perhaps they could be used as a starter for a fantasy novel. “She peered into the mirror that showed another world…”
Thanks for reading.
