Hiya everyone! Welcome back to this bloggy.

This bloggy that I’m quitting.

I suppose there’s no reason to beat around the bush.

I’m done blogging.

For the last year and a couple months, The Lens & The Hard Drive’s been a place to read half-done posts with okay pictures and a couple hundred words of “meh”.  And it was pretty great. Blogging has helped me learn how to say things I’ve been thinking about- how to interact and write and communicate and how to be myself. I’ve gotten to meet some of the best friends I could ever have– through a screen. Funny how things work, isn’t it?

But for an equally long time, The Lens & The Hard Drive has kinda gotten long on me. It just didn’t fit, y’know? Not to mention that ridiculously long url that just stretched on irritatingly and- eugh, in short, it had a ton of problems. So finally, after a couple months of deciding and thinking, it’s time to move on.

Thanks for the memories and for being some of the best readers and people anyone could ask to have reading their blog- A blog isn’t a blog without its readers, and you’ve turned this cringy thing into something I’m really proud I did.

No, it’s not a prank, I really am quitting this blog for the same reasons mentioned above. But I’m not quitting blogging. >:)

I’m starting a new blog. And I’ve love to have ya join the blog launch!

For The Rare Who Care, A Tiny Update (with pictures) (I heard those make these kinda things more interesting)

Alright, let’s see how far I’l go before the internet goes. This should be fun.

I kid you not, I spent, legit 30 seconds trying to plug in my USB. 30. seconds. Hello from the land of writing, adrenaline, and algebra. I’m tired, it’s nice to meet you.

The past 22 days have been forever, and yet, no time at all- and for some reason, I deem those experiences worth sharing. Guess misery loves company. A wonder I don’t take to my blog more often then not. XD That’s all I’ll say on the nonexistent topic of this blog, which, as you all know, is dead! For now. I’m active on certain sites and notsomuch on.. well.. this one. With good reason. It’s winning week of NaNoWriMo, you guys.

I’m glad to say that I’ve learned a lot from each NaNoWriMo over the events, and this one has taught me a TON. Mostly cool things, like conserving mental energy (i.e. late night stuff) (i.e this post technically should not be written at this time) (but I had a dash of inspiration so I figured why not), that wordsprints are the best thing to exist since laptops, the importance of cultural appreciation, hOw tO wRiTe dIaLoGuE, and to not give up on my story, cause I’m just going through that “it’s utter junk” stage. Which is exactly what happened to my other stories, hah, fancy that?

“But she wasn’t really.”  I tell Dad.

“No, no she wasn’t.”

“She just didn’t understand.”
“Sadly, no.”

“Not a lot of people understand.”

Difference between those and this is now I have a number of people who care (almost unhealthily) and one of them could literally kill me for not writing. It’s very good encouragement, I’m telling you. I’m almost at 50k!

Also, I’m just really, really glad it’s spring because LOOK AT THAT BEAUTY OVER THERE. For once I’m not being frozen to death- I can sit and write outside in God’s beautiful creation, the way it’s meant to be enjoyed. With the sky and the sun and the clouds and it’s a sometimes beautiful world we live in, as messed up it mostly tends to be.

But then, who’s they and why did they make the rules to say that? Are they the same people who defined normal?

Lately I’ve started seriously thinking about the future, and more importantly, how am I growing as a Christian and as a person and..

I’m kinda scared. Still. There’s a lot of things coming that I’m not sure of, and a gazillion things I’m guessing I’ll probably never see coming. And then the hopeless task of making choices. That’s another thing on my mind.

But that’s to be expected, is it not?

“And I did. Dun dun dun! I swear, the way things go in my world, maybe I’m just another character in someone’s story, things just happen. Like wow. I should write this down and put it into a book.

Oh wait.”

Some choices could be fun- like publishing. Maybe. Picking electives. Hopefully. And then others, well, they’ll keep me on my toes.

The future is a lot of things. Maybe what I need the most is to keep reminding myself Who’s in charge of the future.

In Which I Write A Blog Post In My Journal (Or a journal entry on my blog…)

Deery, 

 I has redeemed myself. And it is quite the nice feeling to redeem yourself, lemme tell ya. 

Mom cut back my curfew to 9 pm, deery. 9. Stinking. PM. WHY. 😥 she says it’s to make sure my mind is properly rested, but I think it’s unfair, I do.

Although, if I’m gonna be completely honest, *whispers* I’m kinda grateful that I have a curfew? ‘Cause now I am forced to prioritize and pick what’s really important and that’s a good thing. So curfew doesn’t really stink. I guess. It’s cool for the most part.

I got to video chat J and R this afternoon, so that was really, totally 110 percently,  a TON of fun. I wuv these weirdos a lot. We were *supposed* to be doing Bible study, but we ended up fangirling– personing over His Story the musical. We could literally talk for forever and there was would be no way on earth we could stop coming up with things to talk about. But we had to stop, of course. Because I had (have, still) a book to finish.

_Um....._ The problem doesn't seem that hard, just move that number here and put this here-- In my head, the numbers are animated and Larry the Cucumber is narrating how to solve the equation. But in real life, I'm a.png

Anyway, J’s nagging cough cough death threats actually paid off. I wrote 4k today. 4k!!! That’s the most I’ve ever written. EVER. How awesome is that? 4 more k to go, heh, but I got this. God’s got me. It’s not over til it’s over. 😀

Mom heard some of the songs I was playing and asked if I could play them at dinner time. So I did. Guess what? Dad now likes His Story the musical. HEHEHEHEEHEHE. HEH. 🙂

I’m kinda scared that at the end of all this, something bad will happen, but like I told J, I just gotta keep trusting God. Where is He gonna take me? I don’t know.

April Camp NaNo is going wonderfully. And I mean that, when you compare it to last year, when  only started seriously writing three days before Camp ended, not too bad! I think. 😀

Just Come Home is on hold for now, which is great, ’cause I get to talk about my new WIP, which you definitely can’t copy or steal because I will find you. And I will exact a heavy revenge.

The A’s & B’s of Normal!

The A’s And B’s Of Normal

But, uh, what on earth is The A’s & B’s of Normal?

Thus the brief description. (I have a description! An actual description! BEHOLD!)

Synopsis

Ricky Kisame isn’t your normal 13 girl- but she really means that when she says it. She has an attention span the size of a gnat and an unidentified adverse reaction to classrooms and anything remotely resembling four walls enclosed and with no windows. Add that to her perpetual hyper-excited nonstop energy and talkative self, brothers that have their own quirks and not-normal selves, parents who are practical geniuses and believe the best in their kids, her homeschooled brain, and the fact that brain can answer Algebra 2 questions and college level stuff in all the ways nobody expects, and you have the makings of an almost genius.

Oh, did Ricky mention she has ADD? She can’t concentrate if her life depended on it.

But snap, if she isn’t gonna try!

The Story Behind The Story

If you don’t know, April is not only the month of pranks, the first Camp NaNo, and the month of the earth warming and changing from snow to grass in two seconds flat. It’s also Autism Awareness month. (More on this in another post… maybe. :P) At the time this story was created though? I didn’t know that.

I’m hyperactive. That goes for my head and my mind and my tongue and my arms and all of me. Fidgeting in my seat is essential to being able to concentrate, and a million tabs in my brain are open 100% of the time, and at least 75 are blasting music that I can’t shut down. Writing this post took me forever because I literally pushed aside my laptop to walk back and forth a couple dozen times.

And apparently, that isn’t normal.

But that’s okay.

If you know my brother Jacob, you’d know he’s the sweetest, kindest, selfless, quiet guy anywhere, and when he smiles you can’t help but smile too. You’d also know that he doesn’t talk much, is on the timid side, and when other kids his age are off driving and getting jobs and being independent (TM), Jacob’s still trying to figure out freshman year.

But that’s okay.

My other brother may have a little hard time interacting with people, but he can look at a computer and see new things to figure out and break and put together and technical stuff is right up his alley, even if asking someone how their weekend was is a tinge harder.

But that’s okay. 

They have a name for people like us. Neurodivergents. Basically, some people’s brains are different from other people’s brains. It’s a pretty simple (and fancy sounding) definition, huh?

There’s just a slight problem.

And that is that people tend to look at the label and forget the thing labelled is not a thing.

It’s a person. And that person isn’t some case subject thing, another number in the statistic of people who think differently. That person is just another kid with hopes and dreams and ideas and thoughts and God made them. God made everyone equal, but equal never meant the same. Every mind is different. And that’s okay.

And… I mean.. y’know.. people don’t really get that? There’s a TON of stuff on autism and dyslexia and ADD and ADHD, but not very much on the people who have all of these differences.

So in a way, I guess, The A’s & B’s of Normal is an attempt to say one thing:

God made you special, and He loves you just the way you are.

Trust me to ramble on for 50k or less on just one thing. 😉 Say hi to Ricky, you guys!

Ricky, Ricky, Ricky. She is crazy. And that’s probably why I love her so.

It’s been a ton of fun to get into Ricky’s head and writing out her thoughts. She’s a riot in the funniest ways possible, and I hope I do her justice. 🙂  Along with this crazy are Lute, Natey, and Jose Kisame, and the 4 of them wreck havoc in their world.

Well, Ricky does plenty of that on her own, but the guys help some.

Right now she’s stumped, as you would be, at a rather long test. I got some work to do.

Will this be a flop? Probably? Will I mess up a lot? Guaranteed. But is it worth the research and time spent to learn even more about this so called “disorders” and what they really are?

I think so.

Is it worth getting into someone’s severely disorganized head and writing my own off? To get into a dozen different characters and settings I will never get to step foot in?

Yes.

How To Have An Idea– A Powerpoint Presentation 2019 Edition

**as we all know by the word Powerpoint, I mean memes and gifs**

I’m back from the land of perpetual writing, where virtual cabins play the craziest pranks (no, I’m serious *glares at Enni*) and every day is another debate of “one more YouTube video” and wordsprints. Tis wonderful. 😀 But I poke back onto here to sweeten up your Friday with the (very) novel idea of How To Have An Idea!

And also I might/might not talk about my novel. O_O

Step 1. Breathe. 

This is quite simple to do. Open your mouth and swallow air. It takes some practice but in time, it should gradually get easier over time. Note: Do not try to breathe in Colorado. Altitude differences are horrendous. *nods*

Step 2. Decide to do something really crazy and insane and hard.

Of course, you know what I’m talking about.

This also applies to everything you decide to do that pushes you out of your comfort zone (home), something of your own volition that nobody asked you to do and everyone thinks your insane. Thought of something? Wonderful! Now do it! My personal favorites are the ideas that reach out to anyone other than yourself,  such as*gasp* maybe helping out at the library suggesting books, researching an ailment for a friend and writing something in their honor. You get the idea. Once you commit to something crazy, you can move on to step three.

Step 3. Panic.

Panicking is one of the best things you can do in a situation like this. Simply put, wave your arms in the air and flail like a mad man. Tis best to let this happen naturally, such as when you’re working on a project 10 minutes before  the deadline, cheering on a sports team, having a YouTube video export right as your computer shuts down, or in the process of tuning your violin and having the strings pop open.

Step 4. Try to walk around to clear your head.

While you’re at it, go fight some of your best friends because one of them accidentally invented an evil robot that tried to destroy the world and now the world wants you on time out right as your best best friend came back from being brainwashed not to mention your almost girl died due to mysterious causes RIP Peggy and her niece just handed your shield back which give you a reason to fight because honestly the 21st century (Fox) is really confusing. (OOPS. SPOILERS.) If that doesn’t clear your head, I recommend going to space and fighting a giant purple raisin. That will definitely clear your head. (Note: if you do this, don’t bring a broom.)

 

Jogging is good too.

Step 5. Scroll around on Pinterest in the wee hours of the night, burning phone battery and time.

If it’s an idea you’re after, there is no better way to get/not get/definitely not get then on the motherload of pictures. Pinterest. Memes are a very good way to start, then work your way into the fandoms. 😀 Warning, this will keep you up all night, so continue with step 6.

Step 6. Stay snack-drated.

The importance of this is one I cannot stress often enough. It’s a must to have plenty of snacks to accompany your brainstorming aka Pinterest meme hunts aka the free and non-moving equivalent in regards to time wasting as Netflix. Some good snacks involve much sugar and nothing too healthy, although vegetable smoothies are very good as well. That’s the exception but not the example. I highly recommend French fries/popcorn/marshmellows.

Step 7. Join a support group to rant– er, discuss your idea empty life. 

While a real life, actually have to waste gas to drive to one, breathing, working, functioning support group is encouraged, to find one online is just as effective and highly suggested for those couch potatoes reading this right now. Unless you want to form a real life couch potato support group. Then come over and we can start in my mom’s living room. Bring potatoes.

Step 8. Try free writing your thoughts to make sure your brain is utterly and truly empty.

In both the literal and satirical sense (but especially in the latter) free writing helps remove whatever cobwebs your brain has spun in boredom. And memes from Step 5. I suggest writing nonstop for 25 minutes, then looking to see if in the shreds of sanity, there is something at least halfway acceptable to the constricts of society.

Step 9. Read a couple books in the hopes of sparking a burnt out fuse to write your own.

Yes, grab those books that weigh a brick from the kids’ fiction shelf. Then the same with YA. PERFECT! Now go shut yourself up and read. Preferably alone. With nobody to wonder why you’re sobbing as ideas fail to fill your head, but emotions run rampant. Perfect. You’ll get an idea in no time.

Step 10. Do absolutely nothing.

I feel like this is self explanatory. But see, to do nothing, do nothing. Like. Nothing. It is not hard to do nothing. So do nothing. It’s best to do nothing by not doing something, as time will tell. In the words of a bear of very big heart, “doing nothing leads to the best something”. And BEHOLD! An idea!

Follow these steps in the right order and you shall be sure to have an idea.

(and because I’m nice here’s a snippie of said idea. :D) Happy Friday!

This Is The Moment You’ve Waited For (April’s HEREEEEEEEEEE!)

Mm, I made two references to two pretty great musicals. 😀 Y’all should be proud a me. But guess what guys? It’s a new month- and it’s a new camp NaNoWriMo *cheers lustily* And I should also mention that pranks are present, roll your eyes and deal with it. (Like I don’t have one myself, eheh.) Quicky recap because those are fun, and we’ll get on with this. XD

March was hard. Goodbye March. But some of the greatest stuff happened that I’m grateful for.

-My family saw Captain Marvel. Admittedly, it wasn’t the greatest- but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a great movie! Really enjoyed it. 😀

-I wrote for my life even though it wasn’t NaNo, just to see if I could. 15k in 3 days!! 😀 That’s a record. I’m sure at least a quarter is junk, but I did it. I actually genuinely did it.

-I’ll be honest, a ton happened that I wish didn’t. A lot of times I just wanted to curl up into a ball and hop into the Pacific Ocean and drown away. Thank you to the friends who convinced me otherwise. (And for the memes. You know who you are. :P)

-I discovered Newsies (I think this one is obvious, you guys.)

-And Hamilton (that’s another post in itself)

Hi Julia! 🙂 Thanks for letting me interview you! So to start this off, when did you start writing, and when did you start writing seriously?

Hi, Jo! Thank you so much for doing this! 🙂

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. I started writing seriously when I joined the Young Writers Workshop in January 2018. It’s been a terrific and life-changing experience!

*nods* That sounds wonderful! So since last year. Now, how did you decide, “alright, I’m ready to do this, let’s start a blog”?

I remember wanting a place where I could share my writing with the world. After joining the Young Writers Workshop, I realized that starting a blog is important to start growing my platform as a writer. So a few months later, I started my first blog, Willowcreek Pines.

Julia NelsonNow, as I’ve continued to improve in my writing and blogging, I’ve realized that my current blog needs an update. So I’m launching my new blog, Julia Nelson! I believe I will be able to better serve my readers with this new blog.

That’s really cool! 😀 What are you looking forward to through writing and blogging?

I’m looking forward to serving, helping, and encouraging fellow writers, bloggers, and Christians. I love posting every week and using words to tell a story or a message that God has laid on my heart.

Stories are beautiful. And so are words. XD It’s a funny thing with writers- if you had to choose between reading or writing, which would it be and why?

This is a tricky question, Jo! I know that you can learn a ton from books, but to be honest, I don’t make reading a priority (like I probably should). So I’d probably choose writing because I love making stories and characters come alive. It’s just something inside of me that I can’t get rid of. Even if I couldn’t read and didn’t know how to make a great story, I would still be able to write my own stories–even if I was the only person who liked them.

 Oooh, I so get that! Writing your own stories is something pretty special. Uh. Anyway. What’s your opinion on YA books- and do you hope to write one in the near future? 😀

I don’t think I’ve read many YA books, so I’m sorry that I can’t give an opinion. And no, I don’t plan to write YA in the future. I enjoy writing books like Lynn Austin (one of my favorite authors)–Christian, historical fiction novels.

Those are lovely genres too! I always like reading (or writing) these with food, since for some reason I work better with sugar. XD All that to say, what’s your favorite writing snack? 😉

I like to eat all sorts of things. Here are a few of my favorites: chocolate, dates, apples, peanut butter + honey, and sparkling water + juice. The latter two are delicious combinations, and if you haven’t tried them yet, you should!

Ooh, I think I will! That sounds really good and now I’m hungry. XD. Anyway, back to topic. Are you a fan of writing to music, and if you are, what’s your favorite songs?

I love music, and I can’t concentrate on my writing when there’s music in the background. It’s distracting, so I end up paying attention to the music instead of writing when I should be XD

XD I do that too! I think it’s a thing- but it’s a ton of fun nonetheless. Music helps me with ideas. Oh, speaking of, where do you go to for inspiration?

Great question! I actually wrote a guest post on this very thing, which you can find here. In this post, I tell you of three things that keep me writing when my “inspiration well is dry.”

Neat! And even neater you wrote it as a guest post! 😀 So you have some pretty good experience with writing. For the newbies (and for all writers, to be honest), if you could pass down a piece of advice about writing that’s helped you in huge ways, what would it be?

Never give up. Three small words with a huge meaning. Whenever I’m in a slump, I need to remember that every writer has gone through this. Every published author has had fears and struggles, so it’s completely normal–and completely okay–if I also have writing struggles.

So again, never give up on your writing dream. Just because you aren’t a “perfect” writer, doesn’t mean you can never get published.

*sniffs happy tear* That was.. beautiful. 🙂 And I’m bookmarking that and looking at it whenever I’m tired of writing next month. XD To end, lastly, if you could go to any fictional world, but had to stay there for the rest of your life, where would you go?

I Blame My Sister For My Book Addiction (Love ya!)

I was a wee 5 year old lassie when I plopped into my sister’s room and announced with all the fervor a little kid can muster- “I’m borrrrrreeedd!”

Huge thanks to my sister for not kicking me out the door on sight. I woulda done that to me if I was 5, so there must surely be a big vault of patience that you have. Somewhere. It’s hidden with your stash of hazelnut coffee creamer.

So, like any good bookdragon studying for dear life older sister, mine grabbed an old Abeka Book literature reader- those thin fourth grade ones- and told me to finish them off.

And thus, I was drawn into the wonderful, beautiful world of stories.

Man, that last sentence was really poetic. 😛

I soon discovered that if I read for too long, I would get something akin to a headache slash high. I became addicted to books. 😛 That particular reader would be devoured over, and over, and over, and over, and over again for months to come. And then another reader. And another. In fact, I snatched every single Abeka Book reader and ended up stashing them on my bunk so I could read it at well. The internet was unknown at that time. 😛 Mom didn’t like that I was reading outta my grade level.. which I can’t really blame for, because I got ahold of the BJU Literature books and was trying to figure my way through Treasure Island. 

Also happened to be eight at the time. 😛

Around my 150th time re-reading the Abeka reads- lo, and behold, the stories are actually snippets from BOOKS.

I had to know more.

I think in the process, my sister’s library card had fees ranking in the $5s… hehe. But if she had a problem with it, she never mentioned it- always bringing out other stories for me to devour when I was done one.

It was through my sister I discovered the beautiful world of Narnia (note: Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe will keep kids entertained for HOURS. Hence how me and one of my best irl friends are still in the Narnia fandom- when you’ve started at the tender age of 3, you’re in for life!) I found myself enamored with Little Women and Little House On The Prarie- I could and would and have and will read those books so many times until the covers fell apart- they were portals to worlds, and my imagination was the sweetest ride there. I practically squealed when I found out the Avengers first came from comic books- “IT’S A BOOK IT’S A BOOK”. But that’s for another post.

The point of all this?

Sometimes we forget the people who start us off on paths that kinda really do change our lives, and books.. stories.. for all the hype they get, they’re kinda underrated.

A Bit Of Flash Fiction- 1, 2, 3, 4.

Before I begin, who wants to have a victory cry because Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse won best animated film? Anyone? *cheers* YES YES YES. you have no idea how happy I am about this. YES. YES. HUZZAH!

Also, I had a post ready. I was gonna have this great, important topic and it would be weighty and important but then I ended up writing a short short short story and decided it was good enough to be published onto here. *facesmacks*

I would have you know- it’s completely fiction. That means everything is made up.

I would also have you know that is based on something real.

1, 2, 3, 4. Thud. Thud. Thud. “Sit here!” they order, waving their hand about with all the force of their position. My head pounds. No. No. No. No. I don’t want to- 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 5, 6, 7, 8. The walls seem to close in on me- I need to get out- I need to get out!

“Come on!” they yell. Their eyes are demanding and expectant. My heart beats faster, my throat feels tight, the world is blurry. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3- No, no, that’s wrong. 1, 2, 3, 4, 12, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3-

“Come on!” I clutch back a shriek and shuffle to the lone chair. It’s against the wall. There’s a table in front of it. “Sit,” they demand, snatching my device to look through it for themselves. I feel robbed. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4- the numbers are supposed to help my heart calm down. It’s still beating heavily, it still hurts, it’s being squeezed. I don’t want to be here, I don’t want to be here, I’m so nervous, I can’t sit long. I want to run, I need to run, I have to run!

My feet don’t curl up like they normally do- they stiffen and flatten against the rough carpet. I can run faster than anyone here, must go, must go, must go. I don’t want to be here- I have to go!  A screen, a pen, I can’t think, I can’t speak, they don’t like me, they only want me to listen and obey, not to feel. I want to run- help, help, help! 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. “Listen and understand.” They pull out a Bible as they talk. My heart sinks. Oh no, oh no, now I have to stay whether I like it or not, please- the walls feel even more enclosing- I’m trapped! Trapped in a jail that’s built to free people. But I’m not free to begin with. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. Can- want- can I go? My leg starts to bounce in my chair, and I stand up.

” What, you’re not listening?” They jeer. “Sit down and listen!” No, no. I can’t sit back down- I need to go, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4,. “Answer the question, come on, why aren’t you answering- do you even understand the question?” 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2. I can’t talk, I can’t talk, I don’t want to talk, my heart races, my chest feels tight. I want to run, I’m gonna shriek, I can’t- I can’t be here! I can’t sit! Please, please, I didn’t know not talking was a sin. I want to go- no, no, I’m not fine, I won’t talk, please don’t make me, please. the accusations hurt and the words- hurt- and I want to go, please, no, no, no, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4,.

“Say something.” Oh no, no, no, you’ll make fun of me, you’ll mock me, you’ll laugh at me, please, no, no! I duck my head and say nothing. They keep talking, they ignore me. my foot taps against the ground- I need to go, I need to go. Maybe they have some food here, maybe- 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3- “Come on! Answer! Answer! Answer!” The words seem to echo over and over and over and over and over in my head. Here, they have some cheese, I like cheese, it’s firm and yellow and it’s 2. 2 means it’s good. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4.

It’s nice. I like cheese. “Answer- and you are a Bible student, really?” they say. The words swarm my head Oh, no, I can’t, I can’t. I take a bite of the cheese. I say nothing. I want to run, I want to run- I don’t belong, everyone knows that I don’t belong, I can’t sit down-

I finished the cheese. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. “Get into the conversation, why don’t you?” Why don’t I? Because just like that I was asked and I answered and they were mean and very mad, they are scary scary, and they wield a Bible, which makes them scarier in my opinion- no. I’m not allowed to talk, no, no, no, no, I’m not, they always say I’m wrong. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4,  1, 2, 3, 4. I want to run, to shriek, dear kind sweet Lord please, I just want to be understood- please no.

“Come on.” No, no, I can’t just come on, it’s not easy like that, it’s hard just to breathe and you won’t– no, please, no, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4. I stand up. I walk around and stretch. They don’t like this, they give me dirty looks, I know. they told me I should sit down properly and pay attention but I can’t do either and most definitely not in that particular order, no, please, please! 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4.

“So what can we take from this?” they say. I want to take away. I want to take myself away and never come back. They don’t like me, they just look at me wrong-

I see a widow is open, the windowsill lined with snow. It’s such a long way down.

But the window is open.

“Are you alright?” They do not ask, but someone does.

“I’m fine.” 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4.

So, I didn’t know that Faith also started blogging on the 19th, and also did a celebratory post on it, which happened to be the Liebster Award, and that she tagged me until I scrolled through my comments. XD (Happy blogsiversary by the way, Faith!) So here we are. *rubs hands together*  This should be…. fun? maybe?

What is a way in which you are really passionate about serving God? I.e. a career, a hobby, a ministry.

Hmmmm, probably the “work” I do with the kids at church, if you can call it that? I mean, as a pastor’s kid, you kinda hafta be passionate… about practically everything in church, but if you’re talking about specifically me, then 100% helping out with the kids and praise and worship. They’re the fun parts. XD

My sister. Which, considering everything that’s happened so far, is kinda interesting, but I’d have to say my sister regardless. She’s always lived out Christ and she’s always took the time to talk to me about faith and everything that comes with being a Christian. ❤

How long does it typically take you to write a post?

Hmm, it depends. for a real post *glares at all the tags I’ve been tagged with* like an hour if I really concentrate? if I don’t and work on it on the side while reading a book and/or watching….. YT, then the greater part of a couple days. If it’s something like this, I can finish one in around a half hour.

Which I just did. *rejoices*
